Un bodegón de Albaricoques. A still life of apricots. 20x20cm.

It's the season to enjoy these fruits with their spectacular, vibrant, luminous, and appealing color. I was confident they would stand out against the blue of the napkin. It's a combination that never fails.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen; colors, textures, any utensil, food... can be attractive when arranging a still life. In this case, the white plate provides a certain balance to the saturated colors of its companions in the scene.

Note: Although the fruits looked delicious, they weren't.

 Estamos en la época de disfrutar de estos frutos con un color espectacular, vivo, luminoso, atrayente. Confié en que destacarían más sobre el azul de la servilleta. Es un combo que no falla nunca. 

Paso mucho tiempo en la cocina, colores, texturas, cualquier utensilio, alimentos...puede resultar atractivo a la hora de montar un bodegón. En este caso, el plato blanco aporta cierto equilibrio a los colores saturados de sus compañeros de escena.

Nota: aunque los frutos se veían deliciosos, no lo estaban.
